Terms of Use

Effective 2026-07-29 · TokenDam
Estimates, not guarantees. Token counts and dollar figures are approximations for guidance only. They are not a promise of savings, a bill, or financial advice. Always verify against your provider's actual usage before making decisions.

The service

TokenDam is a free tool that analyzes an LLM request "trace" you provide and reports where tokens may be wasted, with suggested fixes. It runs in your browser or as a local CLI. Provided "as is."

How the numbers work (and their limits)

No warranty

TokenDam is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results are accurate, complete, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or reliance on — TokenDam or its estimates, including cost or engineering decisions made based on its output.

License & acceptable use

The TokenDam source code is licensed under the Functional Source License (FSL-1.1-MIT) — it is source-available and converts to the MIT license two years after each release; the license text governs use of the code. Don't use the tool to violate any law or any third party's rights, and don't misrepresent its output as an official measurement from any model provider.

No affiliation

TokenDam is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Vercel, or any other provider. Product and model names are trademarks of their respective owners.

Changes

These terms may change; the effective date above will be updated. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
